A few years ago, we discovered the girls in our family suffered from auto-immune diseases. A path to our healing has been food, eliminating our three biggest inflammation-causing foods: gluten, sugar, and dairy. We hope these yummy, healing (and kid approved!) recipes and meal ideas, will be a blessing to you!
These little poppers are, by far, my favorite breakfast. They freeze really well and are great for batch cooking, too!

You can never go wrong with a smoothie, especially when you can hide veggies and supplements in it for your kiddos ;)

Make-ahead casserole? This super yummy recipe I make in bulk and freeze for busy mornings or lazy day brunch. We use turkey bacon in place of pork and use whichever veggies we have in the fridge.

Super easy egg muffins are great for batch making and freezing for stress-free mornings. The flavor combinations are endless, and is an easy way to have customized breakfast (you know, like plain egg and cheese ones for the 3-year-old who thinks veggies are evil)

Who need dairy when you can make super creamy and delicious yogurt using coconut milk? This recipe is great raw, flavored with fruit, but it is also amazing frozen in smoothie pops!

It is truly amazing what you can make with only two ingredients. While these take awhile to bake, they are worth the wait!

Having pre-chopped and cooked proteins and veggies in your fridge, makes lunch bowls a quick, customizable lunch. Our kids love to throw together their own bowls and mom loves it too.

This warm, hearty meal is our favorite for cold days. It freezes beautifully, so I batch cook it in quart-sized bags for easy lunches.

When we have to leave the house for lunch, my homeschool brain struggles! Meals like these, a variety of favorite fruits, veggies and meat, keep the meal exciting and can be easy to put together if you already have prepped veggies.

We eat a lot of meatballs. Dipped in a favorite sauce, over a salad, or just plain, they are versatile and yummy. These can be batch cooked and frozen and pulled out as needed!

Once a week, the kids get to cheat a bit and we make these easy, yummy pizzas for lunch. We use dairy-free cheese and turkey pepperoni on ours.

On Sundays I marinate several pounds of chicken that I grill up right before lunch on Mondays. We eat fresh grilled chicken for lunch, and the rest is chopped and used for meals throughout the week (bowls, salads, to-go lunches, etc)

There is no better way to enjoy leftover lamb than in a gyro. Customizable and fun to make!
I’m not fancy when it comes to snacks. We have snacks in a drawer of the fridge, which consists of baggies of seasonal fruits and veggies. We allow them to help themselves to these whenever they are hungry.
Fruits Ideas: Apples, oranges, pineapple, kiwi, grapes, etc.
Veggie Ideas: Carrots, celery, green beans, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, etc
I also have Silk DF yogurts in their drawer, but these are not sugar free and they only get once a week.

I’m afraid we are not quite as good at stocking our cabinet snack basket. It is very hard finding affordable, prepackaged snacks that work on our diet. I used to spend a lot of time making making all kinds of homemade snacks: granola bars, muffins, fruit leather, crackers, etc. That became such a burden, taking away lots of time from my family and other responsibilities. So, at this chapter in our life, our cabinet snacks are boarder-line junky. That just means a limit to what they can have an how much- and they have to ask before grabbing.
If you have some good ideas for me, don’t hesitate to reach out! As you will see, we could use the help ;)
Semi-junky Ideas: Sweet Potato chips, Veggie Straws, GF Pretzels, Fruit Strips, Cliff Bars

My kids love kebabs, especially when they can help put them together. I like to put out bowls of options and help them skewer, before putting the kebabs in marinade and letting them sit for a few hours. Here is one of our favorites.

So gooey and cheesy- This delicious noodle recipe makes us feel like we are eating all the starches and dairy we miss.

This one-pot dish is such a dream to make. Rich and savory, with so few dishes!

Making these lasagna “noodles” can be tricky unless you have a mandolin, but this recipe is sooo very yummy, I had to include it. We substitute ground turkey or beef for the pork.

This is such a simple and tasty favorite, and customizable to use whatever beef or chicken cut that is on sale.

These meatballs are so creamy, it’s hard to believe they are dairy free.

I love one-pot skillet meals, and this one doesn’t disappoint. It has a fresh, bright flavor and we never have leftovers!

I love meatloaf. LOVE it. This particular combo is a savory way to remember Mt. Sinai and the giving of the Torah (Word/Instructions)

We like this stroganoff better than the dairy-filled version, which is saying a lot, because we love and miss dairy. We usually devour this stroganoff over cauliflower rice or whipped sweet potatoes.

This lovely dish is the most requested in our house. So warm and rich and gooey and freezable! I batch make this recipe in disposable tins for an easy dinner.

There is nothing like a well-roasted Lamb. Crispy on the outside, and juicy on this inside, this Lamb recipe will not disappoint.

This is a hearty, warm recipe that we will have on special nights.

These tasty hens are a fun reminder of how YHVH (God) nourished his people in the wilderness.
This amazing treat is even better with a scoop of nice cream.
Nice Cream is, essentially, frozen banana cream and it can be customized to just about any flavor!
These fudgey treats do not disapoint.
I can’t think of a better way to remember the Exodus than homemade Hail Cones....other than maybe chocolate covered grasshoppers, but...no. Sugar free and super easy to make!
These quick and easy treats are a fun Exodus-style dessert.
Sugar free, dairy free but oh, so yummy- these Desert Wandering-inspired treats are fun any time of the year!
Honey wafer cookies are a tasty treat to remember the Manna that fell from heaven.
Peanut Butter and Chocolate always win! These cookies were always my favorite growing up, and were the first thing that popped into my head when thinking of a dessert to commemorate Moses' trek up Mt. Sina
Super easy to prep, only 2 hours to slow cook and fun to customize!
GF, DF, SF, Whole30
Easy to prep, easy to serve. A yummy edition to your Sabbath Day meal rotation!
Warm and tangy, this is the perfect paring for a good Torah portion.
This one-pot meal is a dream to make and even more-so to eat!
A breeze to make, this chicken is great on its own or with slaw on buns: southern style.
